  • Robbers strike at Co-op

    Two robbers have struck - weilding a crowbar and a machete.

    The raid happend at the Midlands Co-op Store in Station Road - Ratby on Monday 13th February

    They forced open cash boxes behind the counter and stole a quantity of money.

    No one was hurt during the incident.

  • Postmaster driven to work by robbers

    Robbers have driven a man to the post office where he worked at gunpoint.

    The 54 year old victim was picked up in Edwalton in Nottingham by two men - before being taken to Barrow-upon-Soar on Thursday 9th of February.

    They tried to gain access at the back of the post office but were disturbed by police on a routine patrol and left empty handed.

    It's believed the blue Nissan Micra used in the attempted raid had been stolen from Syston in the early hours of the Wednesday morning.

    The weapon was found nearby and turned out to be fake.

  • New image of robbers released

    New CCTV images have been released in a bid to catch knife weilding robbers who struck at a travel agents.

    Police are still looking for two men who took foreign currency and traveller's cheques at Thomson Travel in Ashby.

    The loot was put in a Next bag during the raid at the Bath Street site on the 15th of January.
